Crack of Dawn
Go forth into that brilliant night
Lit faintly by the dying breaths of the day
Witness the Sun float like a golden spectre
A lamplight in the dark for those gone astray
Behold this strange sight, a Sun-lit night
But ignore not the encroaching dark
And its pressure, its weight, upon the light
Squeezing the Sun till it swells and bulges like a golden egg
Ride on in search of your empty dream
Reaching, straining for light under siege
Watching as the Sun struggles under darkness’s duress
And the invisible Moon turns a blind eye
Slow down now as the Sun cries and realization dawns
Notice the endless miles to go till the horizon
Notice the infinity, the futility, the existential circle
Notice, watch, the darkness deliver its final blow
Cry, but do not weep, as the Sun buckles and cracks
Spilling auburn yolk down the starless sky
Darkening, as it churns within the inky blackness
Let your soul grow cold like the night
Let your heart grow dark

Look who’s back! And with such a brilliant piece of writing. I absolutely love it
