Remembrance

Remembrance

A breeze could shatter the streets in which I now walk
The caves now filled with sorrow the places I used to talk
The laughs once shared now beckon me from the shades
I retrace my tracks in fear now for the mines that I once laid
Intoxication of joys How could one even think?
That now I helplessly search for the missing link

The curious ripples of remembrance fade, expire upon the shore
but even in their grounded state, my tears thirst to soar
Footsteps graze the silent grass in patches where I stood
Eyes cherish the empty skies, that echo the lost smiles of childhood
